About this lesson
What this workshop is about
Many New Zealand businesses get approached through the Internet by overseas people or businesses. These contacts might be asking to sell your products, represent you in an overseas market or indeed buy products or services from you.
This workshop will help you assess if these internet approaches are legitimate, and what you can do to lower the time and financial risk you face in dealing with a person or business over the internet that you have never met.
Why you should do it
Internet fraud and deception has become so widespread that you need to minimise the potential risk you face. You don't want to sell anything and not get paid, or deal with people that could waste your time and energy.
Who should complete it
Any business that has had people from overseas contact them over the internet for some form of business dealing.
What you will end up with
Tips, ideas and an Action plan that will help you deal with the main risks of communicating and doing business via the Internet.
Plus some helpful downloads on researching people and businesses that make contact, and the exporting process.
